IQ City Medical College & Hospital – Durgapur, the leading medical college of Eastern India, successfully organised their 4th Graduation Ceremony on 30th April 2022, Saturday. The event boasted of 154 Medical Interns taking the first step into their journey as registered Medical Practitioners. The event started with a Saraswati Vandana, followed by Lamp lighting. Wise words were then imparted by the Principal of IQ City Medical College & Hospital – Durgapur, Brig. Prof.(Dr.) Gautam Ghose and the President of the College, Mr. Sanjay Jhunjhunwala.
Thus followed the most important part of this ceremony, for which the new batch of 154 Doctors and their families eagerly waited for years.
Each Medical Intern received their framed Certificate, Oath Scroll and Badge from their revered professors and dignitaries.
The event was graced with the presence of the Guest of Honour, the Health Secretary, Mr. Narayan Swaroop Nigam, IAS. Shri. Sudheer Kumar Neelkantam, Commisioner of Police, Shri. S Arun Prasad, IAS District Magistrate Paschim Bardhaman, Shri. Abhishek Gupta IPS Deputy Commissioner East Asansol, Durgapur.
Thereafter, Hippocrates Oath was taken in the august presence of all those esteemed faculties and medical professionals, who had guided these budding Doctors through their journey over the past five and half years.
This much coveted moment of receiving the prestigious recognition was witnessed by hundreds of parents and families of these 154 promising Doctors.
Srijoni Auditorium in Durgapur was decked up to hold this significant ceremony since morning and went on through the day filled with excitement and emotions.
