Academic stress and not getting enough exercise often lead to depression among students. IQ City Medical College and Hospital conducted a Gatekeeper training for suicide prevention on June 28th, 2022 at Atreya Building. The training educated and informed the participants about identifying people at risk for suicide and how to respond to the situation. Head/In-Charges of all teaching departments, MS & Dy. M.S., Dean (Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences), Course Coordinators, Class representatives, Respective wardens of boys’ and girls’ hostels, Representatives from Academics, Principal’s Office, Accounts, HR, Library, Canteen, ITES, and House-Keeping took part in the workshop. The workshop was aimed at increasing their knowledge and awareness of suicide risk.
