World AIDS Day which falls on December 1st of every year, was observed by the Department of Community Medicine, IQCMCH at the College Campus and Urban Health and Training Centre(UHTC), Bengal Ambuja, Durgapur.
As a part of the programme,a rally that aims at creating awareness regarding HIV-AIDS among the public was taken out inside the IQ City Campus. Faculties, Post graduate trainees, interns, staff members participated in the rally.
At UHTC, the event started with Welcome address and Introductory speech by Prof. Raghunath Misra, Principal and HOD, Department of Community Medicine, IQCMCH. 50 participants from the urban field practice area participated in the awareness programme which included health talk by the Post Graduate Trainees, Faculties and Medical Officers, Poster presentation and Role play depicting various important aspect of HIV-AIDS like at risk population, modes of transmission, preventive measures, treatment by the Internees.
