India’s 74th Independence Day was Celebrated

Place: Near Main Entrance of Emergency, Hospital Building.

Every year on 15th August, the nation unites to celebrate this occasion with enthusiasm and great fervor. Indians gather in large numbers to celebrate its Independence – schools, colleges, offices hoist the tricolor flag, and await the Prime Minister’s patriotic speech. There’s also a parade held at the Red Fort, New Delhi, by all the three armed forces.

 

This year, India’s 74th Independence Day was celebrated differently due to the corona virus pandemic. People have been requested to stay at home and celebrate the day. While there will be small gatherings in the country, all the state governments have announced strict guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Keeping the same in mind, all of IQ City Medical College Hospital – Durgapur was informed that flag hoisting on 74th Independence Day will be celebrated as per the following details:

 

Date & Day: 15-08-2020, Saturday.

Time: 09:00 a.m.

Venue: Near Main Entrance of Emergency, Hospital Building.

Chief-Guest: Prof. (Dr.) Gautam Ghose, Principal – IQCMCH, Durgapur.

Flag to be hoisted by: Chief – Guest.

 

College and Hospital staffs who want to participate were instructed to follow the precautions:
